Description

Explore São Paulo in a unique way with UrbanBikeSP! Our bike tour takes you on a journey through the city’s history, culture, and vibrant energy, passing by iconic landmarks and hidden gems. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this is the best way to connect with São Paulo. The adventure begins at Portinha183, a cozy, cyclist-friendly café where you can fuel up with a rich Brazilian coffee or a refreshing juice before hitting the road. From there, we ride to the iconic Paulista Avenue, stopping at Casa das Rosas, a beautifully preserved French-style mansion turned cultural center, perfect for a relaxing break. Next, we visit Trianon Park, a green oasis in the heart of the city, and admire the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP), famous for its bold architecture and world-class art collection. The route along Paulista Avenue also includes Augusta Park, a lively urban space that blends nature and city life, offering stunning photo opportunities and a chance to unwind. Heading downtown, we explore the Copan Building, a modernist masterpiece designed by Oscar Niemeyer, and the magnificent Municipal Theater, inspired by European architecture. We pause at Praça Ramos de Azevedo to take in its impressive façade before moving on to Vale do Anhangabaú, a historic square that has witnessed major political and cultural events. The tour continues with a journey back in time at Luz Station, a stunning 19th-century railway station, and the Pinacoteca, one of Brazil’s most important art museums. We take a peaceful stroll through Luz Park before crossing the Santa Ifigênia Viaduct, one of the best spots for panoramic views of the city’s historic center. We then arrive at Pátio do Colégio, the birthplace of São Paulo, where the city was founded in 1554. Just a few steps away stands the grand Sé Cathedral, a neo-Gothic masterpiece with breathtaking stained-glass windows and towering columns. The tour continues to the Liberdade neighborhood, home to the largest Japanese community outside of Japan. Its streets, adorned with lanterns and torii gates, create a unique atmosphere that blends Asian traditions with Brazilian culture. We wrap up the tour back at Portinha183, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious ice cream, a revitalizing açaí bowl, or another cup of coffee while reminiscing about your favorite moments from the ride.
