Embark on a journey to the Douro Valley to visit Quinta do Vale Meão, a bold and visionary project founded in the late 19th century by the remarkable D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, known as Ferreirinha. We’ll start the day with a scenic train ride from Régua to Pocinho, admiring the stunning landscapes along the Douro River. Upon arrival, enjoy a traditional Portuguese lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, enjoy an exclusive private tour of Quinta do Vale Meão, a family-owned winery renowned for creating the famous dry red wine Barca Velha in 1952. Discover the winery’s rich history and winemaking process, followed by a tasting of their finest wines. After the visit, we’ll return by train to Régua, completing a memorable day immersed in Douro’s culture and beauty. Schedule 9:30 AM - Pickup at Porto area (if you don't check the pickup service, jump to 11:00 AM). 11:00 AM – Meeting at Régua railway station 11:18 AM – Train departs to Pocinho 12:41 PM – Arrival in Pocinho 1:00 PM – Traditional Portuguese lunch at a local restaurant 3:00 PM – Guided tour and premium wine tasting at Quinta do Vale Meão 5:15 PM – Train departs back to Régua 6:40 PM – Arrival in Régua 6:45 PM – End of the tour at the railway station for those who did not require pickup. The others continue the journey by train to Porto (São Bento railway station), arriving at 8:25 PM
