This unique experience takes you through the suburbs of Lisbon, where Cape-Verdean communities work on small sugar cane plantations in Loures and Oeiras. Travel comfortably in a van or minibus, accommodating up to 8 persons, and engage in small walks, unveiling the rich cultural tapestry of these communities. The Batoto Yetu Portugal Cultural and Youth Association works with young people and children interested in African culture, coming from more or less unfavorable economic backgrounds. The association's philosophy is based on the conviction that, regardless of each person's economic and social conditions, the (re)knowledge and appreciation of their cultural roots is an essential factor in consolidating their self-esteem and sense of belonging.
