Description

We begin our journey at the França Pinto Bike Lane, heading toward Avenida Paulista, often called the heart of São Paulo’s cultural scene, where historic architecture coexists with towering modern skyscrapers. As we pedal along, we’ll stop at Casa das Rosas, a beautifully preserved mansion surrounded by gardens, and the iconic MASP museum, known for its striking architecture and impressive art collection. We’ll also pass through Parque Trianon, a green oasis that offers a refreshing pause in the midst of the city’s fast pace. Continuing along Avenida Paulista, we arrive at Conjunto Nacional, a landmark building that serves as a hub for culture and community events. From here, we descend into São Paulo’s vibrant downtown via the Consolação Bike Lane, where historic buildings and lively public spaces await, including Praça Roosevelt, Parque Augusta, Republic Square, and the grand Theatro Municipal. The tour then takes us through Vale do Anhangabaú and into the historic triangle area, where São Paulo was first founded by Jesuit missionaries. Here, we’ll dive into the city’s origins, exploring the buildings and monuments that mark São Paulo’s transformation from a small village to a sprawling metropolis. For those interested in extending the adventure, we can continue up to Luz to visit the grand Luz Station, its adjacent park, and the Pinacoteca Museum, a major art institution in the city. On our return, we’ll pass through Liberdade, São Paulo’s famed Japanese district, known for its multicultural history and vibrant atmosphere. Before concluding, we’ll stop at Centro Cultural São Paulo and wrap up our tour at the beautiful Catedral Metropolitana Ortodoxa, a perfect ending to an enriching journey through São Paulo’s history and cultural diversity.
