Discover the highlights of the northwest of Madeira on a full-day tour. Visit the highest sea cliff in Europe, the magical Fanal forest, and the natural swimming pools of Porto Moniz. Start your tour with a visit to the Cabo Girão viewpoint, the highest sea cliff in Europe. Stand on the suspended glass platform and take in the views of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal. Travel along the coast to Ribeira Brava and see the local church, built in the 15th century. Visit the Municipal Market and see the well-kept gardens of the City Hall. Continue to the magical Fanal forest, part of the Laurisilva, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the ancient trees and serene landscapes, often shrouded in fog. Then we stop in Porto Moniz, a village located by the sea on the north side of the island. Here you can enjoy free time to swim in the natural swimming pools formed by volcanic lava. After, drive to the Véu da Noiva waterfall, which cascades down 30 meters into the Atlantic Ocean. Stop in the village of São Vicente, located between the mountains and the ocean. Visit the church, which features an eclectic construction dating to 1692, with a simple facade and Mannerism portal. Finally, drive to the Encumeada viewpoint, which offers an astonishing view of both the north and south sides of Madeira.
