Description

GOLD TRAIL - MAMBUCABA TRAILS The famous trail that starts in the historic town of São José do Barreiro in the Serra da Bocaina National Park and continues along the Mambucaba River, which has breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls, has in its historical context the memory of the golden age of coffee. This was the route used by smugglers who avoided the main routes in order to avoid paying taxes to the crown. Along the way, you can walk along the historic 19th century sidewalk laid to facilitate the flow of coffee to the port of Mambucaba, as well as several houses from the time. On this two-day tour, we will spend the night in a settler's house, where dinner and breakfast will be served.
